CORVALLIS, Ore. - Major Patrick Barnett, director of operations for the Air Force 22nd Special Tactics Squadron out of McChord Air Force Base in Washington state, will appear at Oregon State University on Thursday, March 2.
He will give a talk to ROTC students on campus beginning at 3:40 p.m. in Kidder Hall Room 364. The event also is open to the public.
Barnett entered the Air Force in 1984 as a security police officer after receiving his commission, and then became a special tactics officer. A master parachutist and combat diver, he has served in Kuwait, Turkey, the Adriatic Sea, Somalia, Colombia and Sri Lanka.
His talk is sponsored by OSU's Air Force ROTC program, which annually commissions about 15 active-duty officers each year.
