CORVALLIS, Ore. – Beginning Dec. 8, moviegoers can help support Oregon State University Extension 4-H by buying tickets to see the new live action version of Charlotte's Web opening in theaters this month.
For every ticket purchased through the website www.fourhcouncil.edu to see Paramount Pictures and Walden Media's production of the film, Hollywood Movie Money will donate $1 to help support 4-H Youth Development in Oregon.
"The movie features multiple references to 4-H and features the great work 4-H does in youth development," said Roger Rennekamp, Oregon's Extension Service 4-H Program Leader. "It also has a great cast, including Dakota Fanning as Fern and the voices of Julia Roberts, Robert Redford and 4-H alumnus Reba McIntire. It should be a great show."
Charlotte's Web opens in theaters nationwide on Dec. 15. Only ticket purchases made through www.fourhcouncil.edu will result in a donation to Oregon 4-H programs.
