CORVALLIS, Ore. - Three Oregon State University College of Business students have earned recognition for their academic achievements and community service.
Eugene resident Kristen Purdy was recognized with the OSU Marketing Student of the Year Award, while Corvallis resident Taylor Anne Wilson and St. Louis, Mo. resident K. C. Frederic were finalists for the award.
Purdy, a senior in business administration, is active in the OSU Marketing Club, Tennis Club and intramural volleyball. She has also performed volunteer work for local hunger programs and has served as a mentor for area elementary school students.
Wilson is a senior in business administration with options in marketing and international business. She is minoring in Spanish and has participated in study abroad programs at two different universities.
Wilson is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society and is involved with Campus Crusade for Christ.
Frederic is majoring in business administration with options in marketing and international business. She also is minoring in Spanish and has participated in two study abroad programs.
Frederic has worked with the English Language Institute to help foreign exchange students learn English and adapt to U.S. customs and culture.
She is also a member of Oregon State's Volleyball team and has been honored by being selected for the Pacific-10 Conference Women's Volleyball All-Academic team.
