CORVALLIS - Three Oregon State University Choirs will perform on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the First Presbyterian Church, 114 S.W. 8th St. in Corvallis. The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

The OSU Meistersingers, directed by Steven Zielke, will open with a rollicking sea shanty "On the Deep, Blue Sea," followed by Edvard Grieg's "Brothers, Sing On." OSU graduate student and assistant conductor Tom Burt will conduct "Holy is the Lord," a Russian liturgical hymn by Bortniansky. "When I was a Lad" from H.M.S. Pinafore will feature soloist Josh Seitz. The program also includes an arrangement of "Down in the Valley" by George Mead, and will finish with the OSU fight song.

Bella Voce, an OSU women's choir, is directed by Tina Scott. The group will perform an eclectic collection of music written for treble voices. The program includes "Salve Regina," by Javier Busto, Rene Clausen's "Psalm 100," and Pablo Casals' "Nigra Sum."

The Black Tie Ensemble, directed by Gary Frame, is OSU's outstanding vocal jazz group. It will perform selections including "Good Old A Cappella" (from a Nylons recording), "You Don't Remember Me" (from a recording by Diane Schurr), and "Heavenly" (from a recording by Harry Connick, Jr.). Featured soloists will be Janna Marr and Jason Wenger.
