CORVALLIS - Oregon State University's Forestry Club is taking orders for seasoned firewood to be delivered by club members.

For information, contact the club at 541-737-4670. Proceeds from the sale will benefit club activities. The firewood sale, which has traditionally been a seasonal event, now operates throughout the school year, said Alex Dunn, Forestry Club woodcut chairman.

"The only time we don't sell firewood is during the summer months," he said.

The club organizes and sponsors numerous intercollegiate events such as a logging sports team, foresters' ball and charity benefits. The club also works with the OSU College of Forestry to assist with college events such as Fernhopper Day and Annual Ring.

The College of Forestry offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in forestry. In cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service's campus-based Forest Sciences Laboratory, the college is part of one of the largest forestry research centers in the country.
