CORVALLIS - A Nov. 22 satellite teleconference on the Farm Bill to help farmers and ranchers understand new federal farm programs has been canceled.
Details of the conservation compliance provisions of the Farm Bill have been delayed and will not be available until probably the first week of January. Changes in the Conservation Reserve Program portions of the rules are anticipated.
A new date for the teleconference has not been set.
The teleconference was part of a series on new federal farm programs sponsored by the USDA Farm Services Agency, the USDA Risk Management Agency and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
