CORVALLIS - With 1996 more or less in the rearview mirror, it's time to look ahead to a new year and for university-bound students, there are a few important dates to remember.

Topping the priority list: admission and financial aid deadlines.

At Oregon State University, for example, the deadlines for those all-important pursuits are just around the corner. Here's a few to remember, and some telephone numbers for more information.

1997 Dates to Remember

Jan. 18 Kaleidoscope of Colleges and Cultures - Annual OSU open house designed for students of color. Contact Admission and Orientation at 541-737-2626.

Feb. 1 Financial aid deadline for fall term 1997. At OSU (and most universities), students must have an application for admission to the university on file before they will be considered for financial aid. Contact Financial Aid at 541-737-2241.

Feb. 21 Admission deadline for OSU Spring Term 1997. Contact Admission and

Orientation at 541-737-4411.

March 3 Admission deadline for OSU summer or fall terms 1997. Contact
