The Horizon Cancer Prevention and Control Initiative, a collaboration between Oregon State University and Oregon Health & Science University’s Knight Cancer Institute, has funded another 11 pilot projects for a total of 22 projects involving 52 investigators.

The initiative is co-directed by Emily Ho and Arup Indra at OSU and Jackilen Shannon and Pepper Schedin at OHSU. The latest round of funding totals $60,000.

Two of the projects were co-funded by the OSU College of Engineering and the Knight Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research Center and focus on employing engineering techniques for early detection of cancer.
