White appointed director of Graduate Certificate in College and University Teaching

Jessica White

Jessica White has been appointed Director of the recently approved Graduate Certificate in College and University Teaching, a new position in the Graduate School supported by Provost Randhawa.

Starting Feb. 1, White will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all aspects of the certificate program with the goal of admitting our first cohort of students in the Fall 2013. The 18-credit graduate certificate in College and University Teaching is designed to provide advanced coursework and experiential learning opportunities to current graduate students who plan to pursue careers in teaching and instruction in higher education settings or who plan to pursue careers that require similar skill sets in facilitation.

For more information, see: http://gradschool.oregonstate.edu/programs/GC11/details.

White will continue her related work with GTAs in the College of Science and will be a liaison with the Center for Teaching and Learning as the Graduate School looks for additional ways to collaborate with respect to GTA training and development.
