Research Equipment Reserve Fund requests announced

The Research Office received 21 proposals for the Research Equipment Reserve Fund (RERF) Spring 2012 solicitation with requests totaling $779,636. After review and evaluation the Research Council provided this office with a prioritized list of proposals recommended for funding. The Vice President for Research has approved 7 proposals for funding with combined budgets of $278,991.

The following proposals have been selected for funding:

  • Kamke, Fred (Dept. of Wood Science and Engineering, College of Forestry): “ThermoFisher Continuum IR Microscope”
  • Lorang, Jennifer (Dept. of Botany and Plant Pathology, College of Agricultural Sciences): “Multi-Use PCR Station: Bio-Rad C1000 Thermal Cycler with Dual 48 Block and CFX 96 Optical Modules, and Two T100 Thermal Cyclers”
  • Ross, Andrew (Dept. of Crop and Soil Science, College of Agricultural Sciences): “Brabander Quadramat-Senior Experimental Flour Mill”
  • Schreck, Carl (Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife, College of Agricultural Sciences): “Multi-Temperature Chiller Unit”
  • Stuedlein, Armin (School of Civil and Construction Engineering, College of Engineering): “Universal Direct Simple Shear/Direct Shear”
  • Tate, Janet (Dept. of Physics, College of Science): “High Temperature Oven for Hall Measurement System”
