Bike Commute Challenge starts today!

The 2010 Bike Commute Challenge begins Sept. 1.The 2010 Bike Commute Challenge is underway! From Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, you can ride your bicycle to work and reap some sweet rewards. From Sept. 1 to Sept. 30, when you ride your bike to work, you’ll be getting a work out, decreasing your stress levels, improving air quality AND helping OSU rise to the top in a friendly competition -workplace against workplace – to amass the highest percentage of trips by bike during the month.

More than 1,000 workplaces across the region are taking the Challenge! What’s in it for you as a biker? Everyone who rides at least seven days during the month is eligible to receive 10 percent discounts on bike gear and parts from participating bike dealers, four of them in Corvallis: Bike-n-Hike, Corvallis Cyclery, Cyclotopia and Peak Sports.
