Major in mathematics with an optioon that is designed especially for prospective secondary teachers. The math requirements are:
Freshman/Sophomore: MTH 251, 252, 253, 254, 255, 256, 341
Junior/Senior: MTH 311, 312, 338, 342, 343, 355, 361,
491,491, 493
Other courses: PH 211, ST 351, early practicum experiences (such as SED 309, 409)

OSU has both a dual major
in education at the undergraduate level and a Master’s degree
program. Both provide professional
education courses and a supervised practice teaching expereience required for
licensure in Oregon. Contact the
School of Education or the department of Science and Mathematics Education for
more details.
These examinations are required by the state of Oregon for licensure:
1) Basic skills (CBEST)
2) Multiple Subjects Assessment Tests (Praxis # 10140 & 20151)
3) First Subject Endorsement Tests
for Elementary-Middle level (Praxis # 20069)
for Middle-High level (Praxis # 10061 & 20063)
