Crimean Linden TIL-i-a X u-KLO-ra
- Broadleaf deciduous tree, 30-60 ft (9-18 m), crown ovate, branches nodding, basal branches pendulous.
Leaves alternate, simple, roundish ovate 5-10 cm long, base obliquely cordate, sharply serrated
with teeth having an abrupt sharp tip, glossy dark green above, paler and glabrous beneath except for
axillary tufts of brown hairs, fall color is yellow green. Flowers produced in July, 3-7 per
pendulous cluster, floral bract is 5-7.5 cm long, short stalked. Ovoid fruits 5 mm, tapered to a
point, slightly 5-ribbed.
