- Deciduous tree/shrub, 12 ft tall and 15 ft wide (3.7 m × 4.5 m), rounded, compact (smaller than species type). Leaves elliptic-ovate, medium green, red to red-purple fall color. Flowers white, appear after leaves; fruit small, about 1 cm wide.
