• Conifer, evergreen shrub, dwarf, compact globe, slow growing, to 4 ft (1.2 m) in 10 years.  Leaves (needles) dark green.

• Hardy to USDA Zone 4   Introduced by Don Hatch of Chantry Nurseries, Honiton, Devon, England.    Possibly a hybrid with P. thunbergii  (van Gelderen and van Hoey Smith, 1996).
