Summer Wine Eastern Ninebark fi-so-KAR-pus op-u-li-FO-li-us
- Deciduous shrub, upright, mounding, somewhat compact, 4-6 ft (1.2-1.8 m) high and wide. Leaves ovate to rounded,
about 10 cm long, 3-5 lobed, deeply cut, wine-red to bronze-red during much of the growing season, but
becomes green in areas with hot summers. Flowers small, pinkish white, in dense, rounded clusters,
2.5-5 cm wide, appearing in late spring.

- Hardy to USDA Zone 3 This selection is the result of a cross between Physocarpus opulifolius
'Nanum', a dwarf form, as the seed parent and pollen parent, P. opulifolius Diabolo®, a reddish purple form.
