Jane Platt Fothergilla
- Deciduous shrub, rounded habit, low growing, to 2 ft (0.6 m) tall, leaves bluish-green, less oval and narrower than species, flower clusters somewhat larger. Fall color is orange, red, and yellow; long lasting. Reportedly fall color is less striking when grown in eastern parts of the U.S.
- Sun or part shade. Adaptable, but best in acid, well-drained, moist, soil, with adequate organic matter.
