- Deciduous tree, to 40 ft (12 m), leaves variegated, streaked and spotted with gold; leaves red in the fall.
- Part shade. Best in well-drained, acid soils high in organic matter.
- Hardy to USDA Zone 7 According to Jacobson (1996), this cultivar originated as a branch sport which was discovered in 1919 by nurseryman Henry Eddie of Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Eddie also originated the hybrid Dogwood known as 'Eddie's White Wonder', a cross of C. florida × C. nuttallii.
