- Evergreen conifer, habit similar to the species, shorther and slower growing, branchles and leaves bright yellow becoming light green. Possibly confused with 'Lutea', the new growth of which has "moderately suffused yellow" with pendulus branchlets (Jacobson, 1996). The two cultivars may be confused in commerce.

- Hardy to USDA Zone 5 Introduced about 1891 in Germany.
