Amazing Grace Weeping Katsura Tree                ser-si-di-FIL-um ja-PON-i-kum

• Deciduous tree, weeping habit and rounded form, up to 30 ft (~ 10 m) tall and somewhat wider, summer foliage blue-green, foliage in fall a subdued orange-yellow and leaves have a sweet scent as they drop; a male.
• Sun.  Grows best in moist well-drained soil, pH adaptable.
• Hardy to USDA Zone 4    The selection reportedly originated as a seedling in the nursery of Jess Eliot in Indiana.  It was introduced by Theodore Klein of Yew Dell Nursery, Crestwood, Kentucky in about 1960.  Its name was coined by Bob Hill of Courier Journal/Hidden Hill Nursery.  Apparently the most common pendulus form in the U.S. nursery trade, may also be sold as C. japonicum ‘Pendulum’.
