Concha Ceanothus                see-a-NO-thus

• Broadleaf evergreen shrub, compact to 3 ft (0.9 m) high, with a greater spread.  Leaves alternate, simple, to 2.5 cm long, pallid green.  Flowers dark blue in tight, 7-12 cm clusters, somewhat reddish in bud, blooms in early summer (June).
• Sun, tolerates summer water.
• Hardy to USDA Zone 8  A hybrid of C. papillosus and C. impressus, or possibly just a compact form of C. papillosus.
