- Broadleaf evergreen ground cover, prostrate to low spreading, about 2 ft (0.6 m) tall and 5-15 ft (1.5-4.5 m) wide, may grow taller. Leaves alternate, simple, ovate to round ovate, 1-5 cm, blunt apex, margin turned under and serrate, dark green and glabrous above, densely gray-hairy below. Flower clusters light blue, 2.5 cm long. Fruit subglobose, about 4 mm across, grandular-sticky when young, glossy black when ripe.
