- Broadleaf evergreen ground cover, prostrate, compact. Leaves oval, closely spaced, thick, green with a gray dull cast. Flowers white and somewhat pinkish. Produces few fruit.
- Sun or partial shade, more heat and drought tolerant in California than some eastern cultivars.
- Hardy to USDA Zone 6? Introduced by Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, Claremont, California, in 1956.
