- Broadleaf deciduous or partly evergreen tree/shrub, to 20 ft [6 m] high, usually smaller. Leaves opposite, simple, variable, unlobed or 3 lobed, 1-4 cm long and 1-2 cm wide, bright green, glabrous, margin entire or shallowly undulated, sometimes with a few small teeth. Flowers light yellow, in upright clusters (corymbs) about 2 cm long. Fruit (samara) 1.5 cm long, glabrous, parallel or sometime at angle of 60o.
