- Deciduous tree, slow growing, small, wide spreading, probably about 20 ft (6 m) tall and 25 ft (8 m) wide. Leaves simple, opposite, new leaves brilliant shrimp-pink, later pale yellow-green, then light to medium green, pale green below.
- Hardy to USDA Zone 4. Of British origin, described by J. Clark in 1905 but likely older.
- It may be confused with A. pseudoplatanus Prinz Handjery, but the leaves of this cultivar are purplish underneath (van Gelderen and van Gelderen, 1999).
