- Deciduous tree, open habit, oval rounded, very fast growing, to 45 ft (14 m) tall and 40 ft (12 m) wide. Leaves large, deeply 3-lobed (usually), side lobes rather wide spread, fall color orange-red to red to purplish, reportedly colors well in mild climates. A female clone.

- Hardy to USDA Zone 4 Selected at the Morgan Aroboretum of MacDonald College, Quebec. Sometimes sold as Acer rubrum Morgan, as are most Red Maple × Silver Maples hybrids (i.e., Acer × freemanii).
- Oregon State Univ. campus: southwest of Richardson Hall, in parking lot dividers.
