- Broadleaf evergreen shrub, arching, 3-6 ft [0.9-1.8 m] tall, equal width, new stems copper colored, fades to yellow or yellow-green, less vigorous than green-leafed forms. Leaves may be green with a yellow margin or all yellow.
- Sun (best) to part shade, acid peaty soil, prune in winter to rejuvenate.
- Hardy to USDA Zone (5) 6 Originated as a sport in the Mason Nurseries, New Zealand in the 1950s. Often produces sports that have all yellow leaves and these have been renamed as 'Goldsport', 'Goldspot', or 'Gold Stirke'.
