How do I join 4-H?
We will need to know the club(s) and project(s) in which you want to enroll. Some 4-H clubs in Klamath County are organized by community areas and some are organized by project areas. Some children find clubs and projects because their friends are involved, parents may know an adult who is a 4-H club leader, and other families come to our office to find out about available projects and clubs.
You should know that some clubs meet more frequently than others and some project areas require a greater time commitment than others. Each club will have its own dynamic and may even vary from one year to the next depending up on the ages of the club members and the other activities of the members and leaders. Some clubs may have only a couple of leaders and will focus on a single project area; some clubs have more leaders and may cover multiple project areas. Every club is different.
If you have an interest in 4-H but don't have a club...stop by and talk to us and we'll help you find a club that fits you!

How much does it cost?
The Klamath County 4-H enrollment fee policy (PDF) is $30 per member with a household maximum of $60. This fee includes all project areas. A select few publications are not included in this fee and are available for purchase at an additional cost; these publications are optional materials.
Part of the fees we collect support the 4-H program at the state level. For more information about this, see the Oregon Participation Fee Statement (PDF).
