The KlamathDSS.org website, launched in September 2010 by Klamath County and other partners, so far has been vastly underused by the agriculture community, said Willie Riggs, director of the OSU Klamath Basin Research and Extension Service, one of the partners. “It’s a really great tool,” Riggs said. “It’s just tons of information.” The site aggregates public information related to land and data from the agencies mostly closely tied to agriculture — Natural Resources Conservation Service, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Geological Survey — and applies it to a map.
Klamath County funded the project, supported by the Extension office, county public works, Houston Engineering, and Dan Keppen and Associates.
