Located on the first floor of McNary Hall, the McNary Classroom has a capacity of 35, white boards, and mobile tables and chairs. Room reservations can be made through the University Honors College main office.

General Information
- The computers are supported by Student Computing (7-3384). They can assist with hardware, software and wireless issues.
- If you plan on having class presentations please have students try classroom technology out before their presentation.
- We have 21 laptops available for student use during classes. Contact the UHC main office for information on using these.
- Please schedule a time in advance to your event to try out the equipment you plan to use; whether ours or yours, each configuration has a learning curve.
The University Honors College main office provides support for all aspects of our teaching and learning space. Stop by our office in STAG 229 or contact us at 737-6432 or honors.college@oregonstate.edu if you need:
Room Reservations: reserve McNary 125, STAG 233 or STAG 237.

Technology
PC Laptops: 21 laptops located in the closet at the back of the room.
Projector: located in a leather case labeled “Dell” in a bin in the closet.
DVD/VHS Player: located in a bin in the closet.
PC Desktop Computers: 8 desktops located on the periphery of the room.
Laser Printer: located by the desktops.
Wireless connectivity.
Instructions
PC Laptops:
- The laptops run Windows 2000 and have CD drives, ports for headphones and a microphone, and external floppy drives (remove one battery to plug in).
- Log on to laptops with your ONID or other authorized account.
- When finished with the laptops:
- Shut down the laptops
- Remove all peripheral hardware
- Plug them back in to their slots in the closet
Projector:
- Remove the projector from the case, along with the remote, computer cable, and power cable.
- Plug in power cable.
- The blue end of the computer cable plugs into a computer, the white end into the projector.
- Turn on the projector first, then the computer.
- The round button on the top of the projector activates a drop down leg to adjust the height of the projected image.
- When finished, pack up the technology and put it back in the bin in the closet.
DVD/VHS Player:
- Remove from closet, along with composite cable (RCA cable), projector, and the Sony radio/CD player.
- Set up projector.
- Use the composite cable to connect DVD/VHS player to the projector and Sony radio:
- Plug red, white and yellow cables into matching Video Out ports on the DVD/VHS player.
- Plug red and white cables into the ports on the top of the radio
- Plug yellow cable into the yellow port on the projector.
- Set the radio to CD/line in position.
- Turn on the projector, DVD/VHS player, and radio.
- When finished, pack up the technology and put it back in the bins in the closet.
PC Desktop Computers:
- Log on with a valid ONID account.
- Allows printing in the room or remote printing.
- When finished, log off.
Laser Printer:
- Accessible through the desktop computers in the room.
- Charges $.07 per page.
Tips
