caption: Over
1,500 male prisoners at Flossenburg Concentration Camp near Weiden,
Germany, slept nightly in barracks shown, heated with one small
stove at end of building. Slave laborers worked by day in
Messerschmitt Plant and nearby quarry. Malnutrition thinned their
ranks, and humdreds were reported machine gunned, hanged and killed
with Phenol injections, their bodies then cremated. The 97th Div. Of
U.S. 3rd found the camp.
