"The NIFA fellowship was a unique experience.  Not only was my research funded, but it gave me the opportunity to work in the field, greenhouse, and lab all at once.  Additionally, I was able to work with a diverse group of students studying different fields and I had access to a larger group of faculty members than just my PI's and committee members.  This interdisciplinary approach gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of agricultural science apart from just my molecular work…Bruce Robinson”
