Angie Treadwell works for Oregon State University Extension as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program (SNAP-Ed) Coordinator for Umatilla and Morrow counties.  The SNAP-Ed program a federally funded nutrition education and obesity prevention program targeting SNAP eligible audiences.  SNAP-Ed work includes evidence-based interventions, including hands-on learner-centered direct education, as well as community-based work related to policy, systems, and environmental change. 


Angie is a founding member of the Healthy Communities Coalition in Hermiston, is chair of the Children’s Health Committee and represents Umatilla County on the governing board of the Eastern Oregon Healthy Living Alliance.  She also serves on the Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Local Community Advisory Council as well as the Umatilla County Plan4Health Coalition and the Umatilla County Community Health Improvement Plan committee.   Additional community involvement includes seven years as co-chair of the Rocky Heights Elementary PTO, service on the City of Hermiston Livability committee, coaching a variety of youth sports and volunteer work in the children’s ministry at her church.


A registered dietitian, Angie graduated from the University of Idaho.  She has advanced certification in lactation management and childhood and adolescent weight management and is currently working on a Graduate Certificate in Public Health from Oregon State University.  Outside of work, Angie spends her time managing the schedules of her three active daughters and training for half marathons.
