Graduate Student Status
Graduate students may be admitted as regular, conditional, provisional, or non-degree students. Post-baccalaureate students are not considered to be graduate students.
- Regular graduate students have been accepted by the University and by a major department/program to work toward an advanced degree.
- Conditional graduate students are admitted students who have not met the formal University admission requirements but have been admitted on an exceptional basis.
- Provisional graduate students are admitted students who have met all general University standards for formal admission but whose academic programs have placed certain restrictions upon them.
- Non-degree graduate students are baccalaureate degree holders not working toward a graduate degree.
