Welcome to Foreign Languages and Literatures

"Language is singular in this way: it is an immense house with borderless windows and doors, open permanently on the universe; it is a country without frontiers, without police, without a State, without prisons. Language belongs to no one in particular, it is there, available, alive, cruel, magnificent and always filled with mysteries."

-Tahar Ben Jelloun

Expand your horizons and borders! The world of the 21st century requires a knowledge of different languages and cultures. The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures offers a range of course and degree options that are within your reach.  If you are hoping to be a world citizen you have come to the right place!
