Parking Lots
There are mainly two types of parking areas on the OSU campus. They are designated by signage at the parking lot entrance as follows:
Staff Only (Red signed) – Parking is restricted to valid OSU staff/faculty parking permits, emeritus permits, service or commercial permits.
Student and Visitor (Green signed) – Parking is allowed for any valid OSU and visitor parking permit.
Permits are required in the above mentioned lots Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm daily, unless posted otherwise.
Open Parking -No permit is required to park in the Softball/Soccer Sports Complex lot. The lot is located south of the softball field in the vicinity of Western and 26th street next to the Hilton Garden Inn. There is also an open parking lot located east of campus at Washington Ave and 11th street.
Overnight parking is not allowed in staff lots or Open Parking lots. 24 hour parking is allowed in student lots only. Camping is not allowed on campus.
Parking Garage
The OSU Parking Garage, located on the corner of Washington Way and 26th street, has approximately 1000 available parking spaces. The Parking Garage is a student and visitor parking area and may be used by anyone with a valid OSU permit. Permits are required in the Parking Garage - Monday through Friday - 7am to 5pm daily. For vehicles without permits, there are Pay & Display stations located on the southern end of floors 1-4, near the elevator lobbies. Motorcycle parking areas are available on floors one through four. Valid permits must be displayed in motorcycle areas.
The top floor (level 5) is reserved during OSU home football games for OSU resident students ONLY. The Athletic Department manages the parking on other levels of the parking garage on all football game days and some other selected events.
