OSU Moving Procedures

Oregon State University units are typically responsible for moving in a timely fashion once the Facilities Services Director, in accordance with the Provost and  University Space Committee, has given authorization and the Space Inventory Control (SIC) form has been signed.  This way Facilities Services can keep track of room assignments for university record keeping.  If units are moving as part of a construction project, the process is likely part of the project and so, a little different.  Still, many of the OSU Move Procedures apply.

Being responsible for typical moving means that the unit organizes and pays for the cost of moving.  This may include such things as requesting keys or locks to be changed, packing up, making arrangements for items no longer wanted, etc.  Everything needs to be removed from the vacated rooms as soon as possible in the move unless other arrangements are made in order to allow new occupants to move in.   To help with all the details and steps that go into moving, please check  OSU Move Procedures.  For any other questions, please contact Jean Duffett,  University Space Planner, 541-737-3014.
