Primarily, EOP classes are to help review or fill in gaps in math, reading and writing. Some students come ready to start out with their major requirements. For others, it has been years since they took algebra, or maybe they simply missed out in high school because they didn't recognize their own potential. In any case, our goal is to make sure that each student's skills are strong enough to compete in OSU courses that require more math, reading or writing.
Other EOP courses, created to meet student requests and needs, include Public Speaking, English Compostion, Math 111 & 112, Computers: Applications & Implications, Workforce Preparation, Life After College, African American Issues and Graduate School Preparation. They all carry university credit.
