Why the Tech Seminars

Are you spending time you don't have just figuring out how to get computers to work with you, not against you? Do you feel that the great potential of the Internet is passing you by? Would you like to have software that is designed for your students, not someone else's? If you're having trouble finding time in your busy schedule to learn on your own, you should find it much more pleasant -- and efficient -- to share insights while learning with others.

These seminars -- small class sizes, filled with guided hands-on time -- will give you information in a form and at a pace to be absorbed. You'll have time with experts who can answer your questions and build your skill in enhancing your lessons with technology. We've tried to be as flexible as possible by offering the two-day Micro Course in March and three-day and four-day workshops in August. All the sessions have both morning and afternoon components, so it's not possible to take more than one session in a single time slot.

All sessions have a minimum of three hours of supervised hands-on practice time in addition to at least three hours of hands-on class time per day. You will have access to the ELI's Learning Center during open hours in the evenings. We also have free outings planned for some evenings, for those who'd like to take advantage of the Oregon scene.
