The focus of classes in the Intensive English Program is on communicative language ability at all levels. Students have many opportunities to interact with instructors, classmates, OSU students, and people in the community. The topic of study is English for Academic Preparation (EAP). As they prepare for academic work in a U.S. university, IEP students practice analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information. They learn to present their ideas effectively in correct written and spoken forms.
