SPEAK IT (OUT LOUD!)


Aims: Build students' confidence,  fluency practice, speaking
Level: All levels
Time : 10-15 minutes


Procedure:

1. Ask students to decide five topics that they want to talk about

2. Decide on a word that is going to be used as a signal word to switch from one topic to another

3. Put students in pair, facing one another

4. Students stand on a natural distance to have conversation on the first topic

5. Talk on the first topic for 2-3 minutes

6. Shout the signal word and ask the students to move one step backward from their pairs

7. Start to talk on the second topic for 2-3 minutes

8. Repeat the procedure until you finish all the topics

Note:Make sure there's enough space. Arrange the chairs or/ and tables beforehand. As the students move far away from one another, they have to speak louder so that their partners will hear them.
