Mission:

The English Language Institute at Oregon State University is dedicated to bringing the highest quality English language instruction and teacher training to the field of international education. English language learners -- teens and adults -- can join us in Corvallis or through distance education to study English, learn about US culture, and be prepared for academic work at a US university. ESL, EFL, and foreign language teachers can join us to learn about the best practices in the language classroom, including how to improve teaching with computer software and the Internet.
