As of Summer 2009, all admissions for the intensive English language program (formerly the ELI) should be sent to INTO OSU.

The ELI (or English Language Institute) was established as an academic English program on the Oregon State University campus in May, 1963. Since then, thousands of students have improved their English skills and have been introduced to campus life at OSU. Through the years, the ELI -

• has provided excellence in language education
• has employed qualified and committed faculty and staff
• has maintained outstanding student services
• has been a member of: The American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP)
• University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP)
• NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
