Students are expected to complete at least three years of full-time graduate work beyond the Bachelor's degree. Doctoral candidates must pass comprehensive examinations in macroeconomic and microeconomic theory, complete at least two fields, and complete a Ph.D. dissertation. A Non-thesis Master's Degree in Economics is available to Ph.D. students who have successfully passed all comprehensive examinations and met the requirements.
