The graduate program in economics at Oregon State University emphasizes economic research that addresses topics of state, national, and international interest. This program builds on a strong foundation of economic theory and econometrics.

We offer M.A./M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. The major fields of specialization for Economics are Econometrics, Industrial Organization, International Trade, and Environmental and Resource Economics. These programs are designed to equip graduate students with the skills required for success in the academic arena as well as in government and business.

The Department of Economics is also a participant in the Master of Public Policy.

The department provides financial assistance to graduate students in the form of a small number of graduate teaching and research assistantships, scholarships, and fellowships.
