Access into any of the Data Warehouse models requires completion of: the related workshop; a Banner and Data Warehouse Request form; a Confidentiality and Policies form; and an approval process. For instructions and a link to the forms, see Banner and Data Warehouse Access.
These are the instructor-lead, hands-on workshops for beginning and advanced Data Warehouse users that are seeking access to the OSU Data Warehouse models. The workshops focus on the software tools, the models, and the data.
Each presentation includes a basic Data Warehouse orientation, followed by demonstrations and practice covering material such as how to: log in; create and refine a basic query; create and format reports and mailing labels; save queries, results and report specifications; create and save buttons; and modify existing reports and buttons.
This is an optional workshop for each of the model related series (above), and offers hands-on experience for current Data Warehouse users focusing on advanced queries and reports. The presentation includes advanced Data Warehouse reporting techniques, incorporated with desktop joins, super query editing, and modifying administrative level queries and buttons for custom reports.
It is suggested that you are very familiar with the Hummingbird software and model navigation before you attend this workshop.
