I am examining the mycorrhizal fungi found in members of the genus Botrychium. Often called moonworts, the genus is characterized by an achlorophyllous mycotrophic gametophytes. This gametophyte is believed to be obligately dependent on its associated fu ngi. My research is directed at identifying these fungi. |
