Note about file formats: We can work with most IBM compatible graphics formats, but please use a 24 bit-per-pixel (16.7 million color) image format. Please don't send .JPG images because it removes details to acheive a small file size. Repeated alterations of a JPEG will eventually degrade the image to the point where it will not be useful for identifying the disease. 8bit-per-pixel (256 colors) color images such as the popular .GIF format will work, but 256 colors just is not enough. Don't be afraid to send large images. The image be scaled down if necessary, but it is nice to have a high resolution source image to work with.
