The program was planned with your future in mind. The BRR curriculum meets all of the requirements for entrance into medical school, veterinary medicine schools, and biologically based graduate programs. This program will prepare you well to move into the career of your choice.
- Would you like to learn about and use state-of-the-art research techniques and equipment while working with a professor and other researchers?
- Are you interested in completing a two-year research project in a frontier area of agricultural, biological, chemical, environmental, forest, or food science?
- Do you want to be qualified for technical research positions in industry
or academia; for admission to graduate or professional schools; or for teaching
science?
- Would you like to acquire and practice effective writing and speaking skills to enhance your opportunities for job placement?
- As a BRR student, you will develop a personalized curriculum that relates to your chosen research option.
- When you are a sophomore, you will choose your research mentor from over 100 faculty members in the colleges of agricultural Sciences, Forestry, and Science.
- As a junior and senior, you will develop, implement, and complete a research project in the laboratory or field program of your faculty mentor.
- To ensure that you are a well-rounded individual, you will complete courses in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, genetics, biochemistry, written and oral communications, ethics and other areas of humanities and liberal arts.
- If you want to participate in the University Honors College or the International Degree Program, the BRR program easily accommodates those opportunities.
