Faculty Project Proposal Summary
Calendar Year 2014 Program
Faculty Name & Department/School: Chinweike I. Eseonu, Ph.D., Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
Research Project Title: Technology Adoption and New Product Development
Organizations must constantly improve on their product offerings in order to be successful. However, there is little certainty about the precise nature of customer demand. In many cases, new product developers focus on technical excellence at the expense of social acceptance. Dr. Eseonu is using case studies of past and ongoing technology development processes to identify a framework for analyzing social acceptance modeling so that companies can have a better picture of future demand based on current trends.
This will reduce wasted effort and financial losses.
