Research Project Title: Characteristics of Corporate Codes of Conduct and Auditing Programs in the Apparel/Footwear Industries
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives within the apparel and footwear industries typically include corporations creating and implementing corporate codes of conduct for their suppliers and contractors. These corporate codes of conduct vary in content and enforcement alternatives. A content analysis of codes of conduct of selected footwear/apparel corporations will be conducted. This analysis will then be used to evaluate factory auditing/monitoring programs designed to assess the compliance of these codes in factory settings.
